Back to School Edition

Dear Millbridge Families,

It’s hard to believe, but summer is almost at an end. Tuesday, September 6th, is the first day of school for students and we can’t wait! Below are a few reminders to help ease the transition back to school. Student drop off begins at 8:50 after the first bell rings. For the first week of school only, our kindergarten and T- 1 students, will proceed to the cafeteria and our 1st and 2nd grade students will head to the gym where their teachers will be waiting with signs. There will be a number of staff members available to assist students in locating their teachers. Please help us ensure a safe and orderly arrival by refraining from entering the gym or cafeteria. Returning parents, please note that arrival begins ten minutes later than last year.

Dismissal will begin at 3:22, at which time all students will be escorted to the area designated for parent pick-up, placed on their bus, or sent to Prime Time. For parents picking their child up, you will need to enter the cafeteria, present identification and sign your child out. Click here to learn more about our FAST Pass system for individual who will be picking students up on a regular basis.

At Millbridge we put an emphasis on student safety. Therefore, all students are placed on the bus or in Prime Time automatically, unless we receive prior written notification from a parent or legal guardian. If you would like to pick your child up from school, please send in a note with your child or email the office at before 10:00 AM. Please do not send emails to your child's teacher with a change for the same day as they may not have the opportunity to check their email before dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our first day of school is a single session (1:00 dismissal) for kindergarten students, who will eat a lunch brought from home in the cafeteria. There is a full day for 1st and 2nd grade students and lunch will be served.   The cost of lunch is $2.30. If your child received free and reduced lunch during the 2015-2016 school year, he or she will remain eligible until September 30th.  Free and reduced lunch forms are available on the website and will be sent home on the first day of school for those who are interested in completing an application. The breakfast program will begin on Monday, September 12th. Forms to order breakfast will be sent home with your child.

We encourage students wishing to buy lunch to establish an account, which can be funded by:

  • Depositing cash.

  • Writing a check made payable to the Millbridge Cafeteria with your child’s student number on the memo line. The student number is your child’s portal code without the preceding 1060.

  • Logging onto Lunch Time on the Delran Schools website under the Parents tab and adding money using a credit card. You can also set up alerts and track purchases on this site.

Please join us in welcoming the dynamic new members of the Millbridge team. Please note staff in italics worked in other buildings in Delran last year.
