Dear Millbridge Families,

Single Session Day on October 31, 2016

Monday, October 31st will be a single session day. Dismissal begins at 1:00.

Reading Rewards

Thank you to the many families who have already turned in postcard books or magazine orders. Last year, Millbridge classrooms benefitted by having several thousands of dollars’ worth of books added to our classroom from this program. Anyone wishing to place an order or turn in a postcard book is asked to do so no later than Wednesday, November 2nd. The emoji keychains for the postcard books are being distributed immediately. All other prizes will be sent home after the orders are processed.

Halloween Information

Parade

Millbridge students will be celebrating with our annual parade on Monday, October 31st. The parade will begin at 11:15 along the cafeteria playground.  We ask that parents line up outside the cones. The parade will begin with our 2nd graders, followed by 1st grade, then kindergarten and finally preschool.

As a service to parents with students at both DIS and Millbridge, we are providing shuttle buses between the two schools for the parades. The DIS parade begins at 10:30. There will be a shuttle bus from Millbridge to DIS at 10:15; DIS to Millbridge at 11:00, and Millbridge to DIS at 12:00.  We hope that this will ease parking concerns for parents with children at both schools. We are looking forward to a great parade!

Costumes

We know how exciting it is to dress up and assume a new identity, but there are some important guidelines we need you to follow. Costumes should be worn to school over your child’s clothes. If your child’s costume has a mask, please send the mask in a bag or your child’s backpack. Costumes may not include weapons (plastic knives, swords, guns, etc…).

In order to monitor the safety of our Halloween Event, we ask that parents do not wear costumes so that everyone is easily recognizable and our students are kept safe.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Classroom Parties and Treats

If you are providing treats for the classroom, please drop them off at the main office by 9 a.m.  Label the item with the teacher’s name so that we can easily deliver them.

Teachers have provided the office with the names of adults assisting in the classrooms and passes will be available in the main office. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PASS, WE REGRET THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VISIT THE CLASSROOM.

Delran “Trunk or Treat” is October 29th

Robotics Team Fundraiser

Our DHS Robotics team will be at the Barnes & Noble Maker Faire, in Moorestown, on Sunday, November 6th  (the Maker Faire will be going on 11/5 and 11/6, but our team will only be represented there on Sunday). In conjunction with this event, Delran Schools Robotics is having a fundraiser. A percentage of in-store sales on November 5th  (Saturday only) and online sales from 11/5-11/10 will go to Delran Schools Robotics (to support the Robotics teams at all four schools). If you are going to B&N, you MUST mention Delran in the store on 11/5. For online orders enter the “Bookfair ID” at checkout.
