Dear Millbridge Families,

Single Session Days for Parent Teacher Conferences

We have half days every day during the upcoming week for parent/teacher conferences. Dismissal begins at 1:00. Please remember to be on time for your conference on time. Many parents have scheduled appointments for their children back-to-back, so our teachers are asked to strictly adhere to the conference schedule. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Club Day Schedule

In the week ahead, which appears at the bottom of this email, you will notice that the day schedule for two of the days is noted as CLUB. On these days, our 1st and 2nd-grade students will be participating in a club that they chose and our kindergarten and T-1 students will be participating in structured play activities. Students will not attend their regular special these days.

Energy Saving Improvement Program

Please click here to learn more about our exciting energy savings project which will save the district money while providing students with new learning opportunities. As of this weekend, this project is now underway at Millbridge.

Halloween Information

Millbridge students will be celebrating with our annual parade on Monday, October 31st. The parade will begin at 11:15 along the cafeteria playground.  We ask that parents line up outside the cones. The parade will begin with our 2nd graders, followed by 1st grade, then kindergarten and finally preschool.

As a service to parents with students at both DIS and Millbridge, we are providing shuttle buses between the two schools for the parades. The DIS parade begins at 10:30. There will be a shuttle bus from Millbridge to DIS at 10:15; DIS to Millbridge at 11:00, and Millbridge to DIS at 12:00.  We hope that this will ease parking concerns for parents with children at both schools. We are looking forward to a great parade!

We know how exciting it is to dress up and assume a new identity, but there are some important guidelines we need you to follow. Costumes should be worn to school over your child’s clothes. If your child’s costume has a mask, please send the mask in a bag or your child’s backpack. Costumes may not include weapons (plastic knives, swords, guns, etc…).

In order to monitor the safety of our Halloween Event, we ask that parents do not wear costumes so that everyone is easily recognizable and our students are kept safe.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Classroom Parties and Treats

If you are providing treats for the classroom, please drop them off at the main office by 9 a.m.  Label the item with the teacher’s name so that we can easily deliver them.

Teachers will provide classroom volunteers with passes in order to enter the building. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PASS, WE REGRET THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VISIT THE CLASSROOM.

Fast Pass Last Chance Pictures October 24-28 (Conference Week)

During the week of conferences, we will have a staff member present to take pictures for fast passes. This will be the final opportunity to have a Fast Pass made for parent pick up. Passes will be issued the following week. If your child is dismissed via parent pick-up regularly, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.
