Knights of Columbus Food Drive

Help us help families in need. Millbridge is partnering with the Knights of Columbus in the annual Holiday Basket food drive to support local families. In the past several years, over two hundred families have been served annually. Students may bring in their non-perishable item with a valid expiration date such as soups, vegetables, fruits, and cereals now until Friday, December 9th, and place them in the boxes in front of the main office.

MB Staff is Hosting a Fundraiser at Chipotle at the Moorestown Mall

On Monday, December 12th from 4:00-9:00 p.m., the Millbridge staff is hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle in the Moorestown Mall. Proceeds from the fundraiser are going to support two of our families whose child is facing a life-threatening illness. Flyers will be sent home on Monday, December 5th.  Bring the flyer, show it on your smartphone (by clicking here ) or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause. Thank you in advance for your support.

Hour of Code 2016

December 5-11, 2016, is Computer Science Education Week, and we are encouraging all Delran families to participate in an Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Computer Science helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity, all important skills for many of the jobs that will be available in the future. Did you know that there are 21,235 computing jobs available in the State of New Jersey? With only 1,535 Computer Science graduates and 165 schools that teach Computer Science in NJ, Delran would like to inspire more computer science college and career ready students. DHS offers both CP and AP Computer Science and all students K-8 have computer skill development, including the use of Scratch at DMS.

If you would like to participate with your child:

  • All you need is a device with an internet connection. (Students throughout the district will be participating in various activities related to coding this week, but you don't have to be at school to participate. Anyone can do an Hour of Code with no experience necessary.)

  • Go to and select a tutorial to try.

  • Click here for the Hour of Code Fact Sheet for Families for December 2016.

  • Click to see a video featuring Delran students from Millbridge to DHS talking about coding and Computer Science.

  • Click for a slide show including embedded video links on Hour of Code, why it is important and how you can participate at home.

Millbridge Guardians of the Environment

Our Millbridge Community has signed up for a second year to help save the Earth by participating in the Philadelphia Zoo’s UNLESS program. This year’s focus is to use less electricity and help the Golden Lion Tamarins. This year, our classroom “Guardians” will make sure the lights are turned off when leaving the classroom and the projectors are off when not in use.

Our students are asked to carry on this Earth-saving endeavor at home. We plan to highlight their efforts with pictures on our library hallway bulletin boards. Please send photos of your child showing them saving electricity at home so that we can make a powerful statement for this project.
